Colin Campbell-Austin and Linda Riley co-founded Diversity in Media Ltd in 2017. They have worked together on several projects over the last eight years.
Colin Campbell-Austin
Colin cares about people having the opportunities to develop themselves so their talent can shine. His talent journey started 12 years ago while working for an airline, where he soon realised that people are people, regardless of background or culture. Reading people comes naturally to Colin; unlocking people's potential is part of his DNA.
“I don’t care about people’s background, upbringing or qualifications. I care about people having an opportunity. Talent comes in all shapes and sizes and it’s ageless. Passion, enthusiasm, hard work and life experiences are what make talented people.” Colin started his media career at Channel 4. By the time he left, Colin was overseeing and setting the strategy for the award winning 4Talent, which focused on inspiring and providing opportunities for young people to work in the media industry. Before founding Diversity in Media Ltd, Colin worked at the Telegraph Media Group as Head of Talent, where he ran executive, management and leadership development, together with The Telegraph's apprenticeship, internship, work experience and graduate programmes. Colin was part of the British LGBT Awards judging panel for 3 years and is currently one of the BIMA Awards and European Diversity Award judges and number 65 on the Pride Power List. |
